ABC has picked up “Uncle Buck,” the comedy pilot starring Mike Epps and Nia Long.
The new comedy, written by Steven Cragg adn Brian Bradley, is a remake of the 1989 John Candy film in a TV series.
The series centers Uncle Buck (Epps), a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By convenient coincidence, his nieces and nephew’s Nanny has just quit and his brother and sister-in-law need his help. His unconventional personality just may make him the perfect match for the family and they may solve his problems too.
Iman Benson, Aalyrah Caldwell, James Lesure and Sayeed Shahidi will also star.
