In the Line In The Sand (#EarringsOff) episode topics of black girls and beauty being “discounted,” parking wars, sex trafficking, family struggles and situations, and more were examined. The parking wars stood out to me most as it is something that most of us deal with on a daily basis (specially if you live in places with heavy traffic like Los Angeles). What the guy said to Mary Jane (I’m leaving it out in case you haven’t seen this particular episode) was just bananas! However, when people miss out or feel they are wronged they can say some pretty hurtful things. I was just proud that MJ turned the other cheek, but if that were me #EarringsOff ASAP!
Being Mary Jane on BET has been my go to show. There are always real world topics discussed, real life struggles examined, and examples of the dynamics of various relationships. What more could you possibly ask for from a show?

Rihanna is taking what's her and giving the '90's so much life while doing it! Rihanna debuted her single live at the iheart radio music festival. Rihanna had teased that she would don a Lil Kim inspired outfit when she posted a pic of 'Kim with the hashtag #BBHMM. Rihanna was Versace'd out from head to toe during the performance and definitely payed proper respects to Lil Kim during this performance. What do you think see any resemblance to '90's Lil Kim and Rihanna? All I kept thinking was of Lil Kim's line in song 'Get Money': so you wanna buy diamonds and Versace boots! While news about the show's plot has been dead, casting news has been very lively. It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson will be part of the show (lots of eye candy this coming season ladies!). More recently AHS alum Chloe Sevigny was confirmed as a series regular in Season 5 series"Hotel." Sevigny appeared on Season 2 "Asylum." There have been rumors that Lady Gaga will star in this season as well. As a die-heart AHS fan it still saddens me that Jessica Lange will no longer be with us, but in the words of "Freak Show" the show must go on! American Horror Story: "Hotel" will air in October on FX. WRITTEN BY: VIOLA CONSTANCE | @Voila_its_Viola

And the teases continue! Rihanna shared via Twitter for those waiting to head to Dubsmash for her new single Bitch Better Have My Money. Thing is, it isn't the full song! Rocnation posted the Intro and Outro of BBHMM and from the sounds of things, it's pretty dope without alot of the in-between. However, there is a snippet of Rih Rih rapping.
WRITTEN BY: VIOLA CONSTANCE | @Voila_its_Viola With a new movie in theatres this Friday, Rihanna hinted on her Instagram about new music. It’s been rumored that Rihanna may be dropping a surprise album with the title R8. She captioned a photo with three hashtags “#March26,” “R8,” and “BBHMM.” Fans and music-heads obviously went to her website RihannaNOW.com to get more information, only causing the site to crash. But with the site up and running again, it has been revealed that BBHMM = "Bitch Better Have My Money" will be dropping tomorrow. We’ll be waiting to see exactly when the single will drop, midnight, early morning, late night to post and update!

Last night Deadline writer Nellie Andreeva posted an article accusing the increase of ethnic casting on television’s looming lack of roles for Caucasians. Andreeva says that the boost that’s happening in 2015 ethnic casting was needed for the lack of diversity on television, BUT now it is too much of a good thing, because how does it benefit Caucasian actors? Shonda Rhimes had a firm reaction to the article. Rhimes basically established the diversity movement on television with Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder. It is unmistakable that she is working towards representation of all people on television. This article basically states there shouldn’t be an equal level playing field in Hollywood.
What would possess a junior baseball player at Bloomsburg University to call a 13-year old a "slut". Former Bloomsburg baseball player, Joey Casselberry was released from the athletic program after a series of tweets were made in reaction to Davis' new disney film. The Pennsylvania School condemned Casselberry's Comments and removed him from the program for violating the school's social media athletic code. Casselberry tweeted a two-tweet apology saying, “An example that one stupid tweet can ruin someone’s life and I couldn’t be more sorry about my actions last night. I please ask you to…. Forgive me and truly understand that I am in no way shape or form a sexist and I am a huge fan of Mo’ne. She was quite an inspiration.” The 13-year old Davis had said she was upset with the statement Casselberry made but has nonetheless asked for him to be reinstated. Davis said, ”While I admit I was pretty hurt when I read his comments, I felt sad that he was dismissed from the team…,” the Philadelphia pitcher wrote. “I am sure Joey Casselberry has worked very hard to get where he is and dreams of playing in the major leagues. For this reason, I'm asking you to please allow him back on the team so that he can continue to chase his dream. He made one dumb mistake. I'm sure he would go back and change it if he could.” The University has decided at this time to not allow Casselberry back on the team.
