If you've been waiting for more to add to your TV must watch list look no more! BET Networks have added two new original movies, new series, specials and more.
Let's just get what's known to come out of the way first shall we? Season 9 (the final season) of "The Game" will jump off Wednesday, June 3, at 10pm ET/PT and the 90-minute finale will air July 29 at 9pm ET/PT. Then there the BET Awards that will air live on Sunday, June 28 along with all of the BET experience events.
Now on to the new.
Regina King's feature length film adaptation of "Let the Church Say Amen," the best-selling novel by Reshonda Tate Billingsley will be premiering in August 2015. The feature length film will be King's directorial debut. It is produced by some big names including Queen Latifah and Roger Bobb and Regina King is also an executive producer.
The two hour movie, which will be a BET Premiere Cinema event, will star Naturi Maughton as Rachek Jackson, a wayward preacher's kid who is struggling to pull her life together. Her mission in life is to marry her now six-year-old son's father to become a traditional and respectable family and regain her father's trust. The movie also stars Hosea Chavez, Steve Harris, Collins Curtis Pennie and Lela Rochon.
"The Start Up," stars Diggy Simmons as Blake Monroe, founder of TheJetsetters.com, an entertainment and lifestyle blog, is a story about what it is to be young, gifted and digital, while Blake and his friends try to handle the freedoms and pressures of adulthood. The film is executive produced by Mara Brock Akil, Salim Akil, Kenya Barris, Kames DuBose and Laurie Dobbins and also features Teyana Taylor, Bia Murphy, Allen Maldonado, Chris Brew, and Stephanie Charles.
Salim Akil is directing "The Start Up" and BET has a premiere date set in September.
For new series there's a reality series on Washington Redskins' wide-receiver DeSean Jackson premiering Tuesday, June 30; a reboot MTV's "Punk'd" hosted by Aston Kutcher that will be made to fit the BET audience starting August 18 and a special Muhammad Ali tribute and a self-explanatory "Hurricane Katrina: 10 Years Later" both premiering in August.
