Dakota Fanning is actually one of the few child actresses who flawlessly transitioned from child star to adult actress. Fanning, now 21, has grown up in the limelight of Hollywood without any drug drama, public meltdowns, or photo scandals. She seems well-adjusted, even average. In her interview in the May edition of NYLON she shares that she doesn't really use social media. "I feel like if I did it [social media], I'd start to measure my experiences by how good of an Instagram it's going to turn into," Fanning said to NYLON. "And I don't want to be living my life trying to see it all in a square, trying to get a photo.” Fanning also knows how time consuming it is to be fully engaged online. "You have to set the photo up, you have to take the photo, you have to edit the photo, pick the right filter, format it, caption it — like, too much! There are so many more things I could be doing!" Fanning is currently studying at NYU — she's majoring in Women in Film. "Being Dakota isn't a job. Being Dakota just is," she said. |
