As weekend two of Coachella approaches, people are still trying to figure out a way to get to the event or where to stay. For those not attending, they are wishing one day to afford access or for the prices to magically decrease. For those who are too cheap or too broke look no further Brokechella is here. Brokechella has been around since 2011 in Downtown, Los Angeles after it was realized that the event fell on the same weekend as Coachella. It started out as a popular event called Community Pool, where bands, comedians and a variety of acts would come together to share their talents with fellow Los Angeles artists. The event grew more popular over the years, consistently outgrowing its venues. It started out at a coffee house in Venice, moved to a black box theater in Westwood, then a multi-story club Downtown, and finally to a huge warehouse space in Downtown LA. This year, Brokechella will be located at 590 Santa Fe Ave, in the heart of Downtown. There will be four stages, a World Initiative, comedy and variety stage, a bigger than ever vendor fair, more puppychella, giant jenga puzzles, and so much more. |
