During my college years I found myself moving further and further away from the mainstream. I couldn’t stand watching TV so I became an avid watcher of online web series and vlogs. It pained me to listen to the radio, so I listened to playlists made up of oldies and all the greats of 90’s music that was until I came across Black&SexyTV.
Black&SexyTV not only produces some of the greatest content in web series (and hopefully very soon on television), but the tracks to each episode are beyond dope and are always from artists of substance like Morisha Danee`.
Morisha is an artist, arranger and songwriter from Country Club Hills, IL who is striving to live her dreams. This talented young lady gives off a soulful vibe with her soft, sexy melodic ballads that will always put you in a mood.
Her song Baby Baby is used as the intro song to Black&Sexy’s Becoming Nia, but her song Favorite Fantasy is what drew many others in, myself included. So who is Morisha Danee` and why should you check her out?

"I would like to thank my MorishaFriends from the bottom to the top of my heart for the continued support on helping me get my music to the world of indie music lovers. You all are like family to me and I pray it only gets better from here. I have a lot of great news coming soon!"
1. Who is Morisha Danee`?
She is positive and real with herself-real with emotions, real with everyday life.
2. How would you describe your style?
I would prefer not to be put in a container musically. My style shifts upon how I feel. I figure you could say inventive, yet in my own particular manner. However, as far as in apparel/clothing, I dress in whatever I feel is gorgeous or satisfying yet I generally look charming Lol.
3. From where do you draw musical inspiration?
Artists like Stevie Wonder, Sade, MJ, Lalah Hathaway, Jasmine Sullivan, Minnie Ripperton, Jill Scott are people who inspire me.
4. How did you get involved with Black&SexyTV?
I was surfing the Internet and came across the show RoomieLoverFriends and I loved it! I couldn’t help but notice the great music selection they played throughout the episodes so I did more research. I submitted my music to Dennis Dortch and he loved it! Numa Perrier, Mr. Dortch, and I built a great long distance relationship and it went from there. They are great people and very helpful-I cherish them both.
5. What do you think of the state of today’s music?
Honestly, I am an old school junkie! I don’t even listen to the radio, as I love music that has a context about it, music that tells a story. The music today is good but it’s harsh and degrading; seems like everyone is twerking or throwing dollars according to the radio. It’s more to music in my eyes.
6. What is currently on your playlist?
My playlist that I listen to everyday consist of artist like Gwen Bunn, Alex Isley, Drake, Lukane, KING, Jazmine Sullivan, and other old school artists.
7. What projects are you currently working on?
I am currently working on my 2nd Full Album which is partially done. I don’t want to rush. I really want to make sure it’s everything I want it to be. I’m also working on my very first indie tour “ The Project” with indie hip hop artist Lukane. The first tour date is August 15, 2015 in Chicago, IL at the Music Garage. It’s exclusively for the fans only.
8. Is there anything you pursue aside from music?
I quit my job to pursue music full time, but I direct a youth choir at my church West oak Grove CoC. I spend a lot of time with them because they are the future and they need a positive impact. The way the world is today, children are in need of a place where they can go and be creative….be themselves. Adults should understand they are our next generation.
