After talking about building a blog together LB and I had to come up with a domain name. Something that would grab people's attention. Something that would be easy to remember. Something that would start conversations. Something that represented us. Two black girls. Once LB said that, I wasn't too sure, but I looked it up on Google. Do you know what I found? Negativity. A good majority of the results were negative; two black girls fighting, two black girls f*ck the same d*ick, two black girls murdered etc... The only positive was a podcast from the UK about two black girls living in the UK. We wanted to voice our opinions. We wanted to start conversations. We wanted to showcase the intelligence, diversity, and openness from two college-educated black girls. Thus 2 Black Girls Blog was born. This form is just from 2 black girls perspective. It isn't solely a "black outlet". We will touch on world issues and happenings. We would like for all people to learn and contribute to our blog. We just hope for ALL PEOPLE to have an open mind, the willingness to understand other viewpoints and be understood.
