A video shows a substitute teacher in Maryland beating a student with what looks to be a leather belt.
In the video children can seen running away (and a few ducking on the floor) and heard screaming. The video has already gone viral.
The incident took place on May 15 at Gwynn Park Middle School. It is unknown why the teacher lashed out at students, but according to Dan Good of "Good Morning America" town residents and parents are outraged.

“I just couldn’t imagine a grown man hitting my child,” Edward Torrence said.
“I really feel that’s wrong,” added Iris Wood.
According to the school, the unknown substitute teacher has been removed from the classroom. In a statement, the school called the teacher’s actions “improper."
The school said it "does not condone this type of behavior, and it is not representative of the level of professionalism and respectful conduct of the team at the school."
